Overview
The non-combustible test furnace for building materials is designed and manufactured according to the specifications of GB/T5464-2010/ISO1182:2002. It is used to determine the non-combustibility of homogeneous building products under specific conditions. This equipment is widely applied in testing the fire resistance of various construction materials, including composites, coated surfaces, and multi-layered components. Each component can be tested separately and reported individually. Additionally, it supports testing according to standards such as BS 476-4 & 11 and IMO FTP Part 1.

Testing Procedure
1. Ensure the furnace reaches a stable temperature before starting the test. If real-time monitoring is not available, manually check the stability.
2. Before the test, verify that all parts are functioning properly—such as the air stabilizer, insertion mechanism, and sample holder positioning system.
3. Place the prepared specimen in the holder, insert it into the furnace within 5 seconds, and start the timer immediately. Record the thermocouple readings throughout the test. If surface and core temperatures are required, measure both.
4. Conduct a 30-minute test. If the furnace reaches equilibrium (temperature drift within 2°C over 10 minutes), the test can be stopped. Otherwise, continue every 5 minutes until equilibrium is reached or 60 minutes have passed. The final time is noted, and the sample is removed.
5. Collect all debris from the test and weigh the residual mass after cooling. Record pre- and post-test masses, observe flame behavior, and note flame duration down to the second. A continuous flame lasting 5 seconds or more is considered significant.
6. Document key temperature data: initial furnace temperature (T1), average during the last 10 minutes (Tavg), maximum temperature (Tm), and final temperature (Tf) at the end of the test.
