Non-Combustible Test Furnace

This is a high-performance non-combustible test furnace designed for building materials testing. It meets the requirements of GB/T5464-2010 and ISO1182:2002 standards, allowing accurate evaluation of the fire resistance of construction materials under controlled conditions.

The SYL-21 model is ideal for testing the non-flammability of various building products, including composites, coated or multi-layered materials. It can also be used to evaluate other fire reaction tests such as BS 476-4 & 11 and IMO FTP Part 1. The device ensures precise temperature control and reliable results during the test process.

Testing Procedure

1. Ensure the furnace reaches thermal equilibrium before starting the test. If real-time monitoring is not available, manually check the temperature balance.
2. Verify that all components are in good working condition, including the air stabilizer, insertion mechanism, and sample holder positioning.
3. Place the prepared specimen in the holder, insert it into the furnace within 5 seconds, and start the timer immediately. Record the thermocouple readings throughout the test.
4. Conduct a 30-minute test. If the furnace temperature stabilizes within this time (temperature drift ≤ 2°C over 10 minutes), the test can be stopped. Otherwise, continue until 60 minutes or when equilibrium is reached.
5. Collect all residues after the test, weigh the remaining mass, and document the burning behavior, flame duration, and any visible flames lasting more than 5 seconds.
6. Record key temperature data, including initial temperature, average temperature during the last 10 minutes, maximum temperature, and final temperature at the end of the test.

Post-Test Maintenance

After completing the test, clean the furnace thoroughly to ensure it is ready for future use. Proper maintenance helps maintain accuracy and prolongs the life of the equipment.
