Haima has built a factory in Haikou City, Hainan Province, and after several partnerships, it has finally carved out its own niche in the market. This vehicle, despite being a domestic brand, is a collaboration between Haima Motors and the Italian design company LD'A. It follows European design principles, integrating advanced global technologies while combining the sophisticated tastes and rich configurations of joint ventures with intelligent features. It offers practicality, performance, and fuel efficiency.
The headlight design is particularly striking, giving the car a more dominant appearance compared to other models. The door seams are well-aligned, and there are no noticeable loose parts. I’ve been driving mine for over a year now, and I haven’t noticed any significant issues. The paintwork is somewhat thin, so scratches might be visible up close, but they're still noticeable from a distance. The front grille gives off a shark-like impression, and the muscular sides exude dynamism.
In terms of dimensions, the new model measures 4,358mm in length, 1,823mm in width, 1,630mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,630mm. While it’s a compact SUV, the space inside is quite generous. Additionally, it’s worth noting that according to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the combined fuel consumption of the 1.2T version of the Haima S5 is 6.8 liters per 100 kilometers. This suggests that Haima Motors is committed to improving the fuel economy of the Haima S5 and exploring new market opportunities.
