The dispute over the patented technology of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) has reached the automotive industry. LG Electronics and LG Innotet filed a complaint with the Central District Court of Seoul on the 28th, requesting that South Korea's BMW and South Korea's Audi, as well as automobile intermediaries and after-sales service centers, be sold to sell the two companies' cars.

The LG lawsuit was a "counterattack" against Osram. In June of this year, OSRAM sued Korean LED companies such as LG Electronics, LG Innotet, Samsung LED and Seoul Semiconductor in five countries for patent infringement.
