Toshiba Launches World's First Color-changing Notebook

Toshiba Launches World's First Color-changing Notebook Toshiba announced yesterday the world’s first color-changing laptop, the Dynabook Qosmio T750, whose discoloration is the front cover of the notebook. The cover of this notebook is "Shining Ocean Blue", but when viewed from different angles, the color of the cover gradually changes from blue-green to dark blue and finally to purple.

The reason why the cover color of Dynabook Qosmio T750 can be changed is that Toshiba uses a multi-layer polyester composite film and each layer contains thousands of "nanotechnology" layers. Although the cover does not use metal material, it can emit a metallic shiny luster. Toshiba said that this design is entirely for environmental considerations. It was jointly developed by Toshiba and Japanese material manufacturer Touré Meihan and was named "Picasus". In order to prevent fingerprints from affecting the discoloration of the notebook, Toshiba specifically added a layer of anti-fingerprint coating on the cover.

Dynabook Qosmio T750 uses 2.66GHz Intel Core i5-480M processor, 4GB DDR3 memory, 750GB hard drive. The screen size is 15.6 inches and the resolution is 1366X768. Other aspects include Harman Jardon speakers, 2.4/5GHz 802.11n Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, USB 2.0, and eSata interfaces. However, this notebook is only sold in Japan.
