According to statistics released by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) on January 20, in December 2009, Taiwan’s export orders reached US$31.725 billion, an increase of 1.49% from the previous month and an increase of 52.63% from the same period last year.
In terms of export orders, IT/communication and electronic products are the two largest orders. In December, export orders for IT/communication products reached $8.202 billion. From January to December 2009, IT/ The export orders for communication products reached US$79.323 billion, while the export orders for electronic products reached US$7.552 billion in December. From January to December 2009, the export orders for electronic products reached US$78.204 billion.
From January to December 2009, Taiwan’s total export orders were 3,224.40 billion US dollars, a decrease of 8.33% from 2008.
