Suoxi Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. announced that it will provide samples of the new MN2WS03101A with built-in HDMI Tx / Rx from now on. This device is a single-chip solution for 4K60P, HEVC, and VP9 video playback. It is compatible with the HEVC Main 10 profile and supports new features such as copyright protection, high dynamic range (HDR), and wide color gamut.
As 4K video is more and more popular with consumers, and the video content on the Internet is becoming more and more diverse, in addition to the traditional Full HD format, the market also has a very high demand for playing various new video formats. In particular, 4K video now also uses the new HEVC data compression technology. The market needs small, low-power chips that can perform real-time HEVC compression 4K60P video decoding to output high-quality video with many different image processing effects.
Suoxi's new MN2WS03101A can truly support 4K60P video input, decoding and output, and can play high-quality 4K video encoded by HEVC, VP9 and H.264. This chip uses ultra-high resolution processing technology to upgrade Full HD video that uses traditional codecs such as H.264 or MPEG-2 to 4K video.
MN2WS03101A can also support real-time multi-channel transcoding function (can convert four-channel Full HD video to H.264 or MPEG2 format), and can perform single-channel Full HD video transcoding at four times the speed, which can be widely used in such as video In multimedia distribution devices such as burning devices or home gateways.
Suoxi Technology plans to put the MN2WS03101A into mass production in the second half of this year, aiming at various new-generation 4K video equipment.
