The realization of the interactive development of the integrated circuit industry chain is the highest goal of Beijing’s construction of the northern microelectronics industrial base. From 2000 to 2009, the number of semiconductor companies in Beijing increased from less than 30 to more than 150, and the total annual sales revenue increased from 1.8 billion yuan to 19.1 billion yuan. In the field of integrated circuit design, Beijing's design companies account for more than one-fourth of the country's total; in the field of chip manufacturing, China's largest and most technologically advanced companies are located in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone; in the area of ​​packaging and testing, Beijing not only has Renesas Semiconductor. In the field of equipment, Qixing Huachuang is the only integrated circuit equipment company listed in the country; in terms of materials, Beijing has not only silicon companies engaged in silicon wafer production, but also engaged in light. Kehua Microelectronics Co., Ltd., which produced the rubber, was put into production last year and has already achieved profitability.

In the next five years, the Beijing microelectronics industry will usher in new opportunities for development. In these five years, the investment in Beijing's electronic information industry will exceed 100 billion yuan. BOE TFT-LCD Generation 8.5 and AOC's 10,000-unit TV production will promote the production of driver ICs, image processors and LED backlights. The SMIC project will have an initial investment of US$1.8 billion. Expanding production capacity to 40,000 pieces/month, and later expansion is in the stage of demonstration; AMD's second global operation center including R&D, sales, and operation duties will be launched in Beijing; with Jingxin Semiconductor as the core Mobile Silicon Valley Industrial Park will also start construction; in addition, Wei Xun, Renesas and other companies will further expand their business in Beijing, UNIC Technology, GMF and other companies also plan to build in Beijing packaging equipment and MEMS product line. At the same time, we also hope that the integrated circuit industry will be able to radiate to large semiconductor fields such as LCD, LED, and solar photovoltaic.
