Zhe Neng Optoelectronics: Using facts to name the small power LED

In April 2009, Fujian Zineng Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. Today, the demonstration project still maintains the original lighting effect and records that the annual power consumption is less than 150,000 kWh (annual power consumption exceeds 500,000 kWh).

In April 2012, Zheergy Optoelectronics remodeled the most prosperous sightseeing avenue along the coast of Xiamen Haicang District (8 lanes, 40 meters in length and 6 kilometers in length), replacing the original metal halide lighting with its own patented small Power LED lighting. Appraised by the relevant testing center, the average illumination of the lamp was 84% ​​higher than that of the original metal halide lamp, and the energy saving effect reached 83%.

"High-power LED is not the only way to solve the problem that street lamps can't be projected from a long distance. On the contrary, it will bring more technical bottlenecks and increase the cost of products." Professor Liu Zhiyong, technical director of Zheergy Optoelectronics believes that the "innate advantage of low-power LED lamps" "Maximize the photoelectric conversion efficiency, not only solve the heat dissipation problem, but also solve the energy consumption problem easily.

High-power LED is the product of inertial thinking. Low-power LEDs have appeared in the 1960s and were used in the earliest indicators.

In the 1990s, the advent of white LEDs led to the industry's thinking about replacing high-energy lamps with high-efficiency white LEDs. However, in the case of functional lighting with long distances and large heights, the difficulty faced by all is that low-power white LEDs cannot project light to farther places. Therefore, along the trajectory of inertial thinking, high-power LEDs came into being.

High-power LED lamps solve the bottleneck of long-distance lighting, but it comes with three more serious bottlenecks: high heat and high energy consumption, high temperature, light decay and heat dissipation. Using three bottlenecks to solve a bottleneck is obviously not very cost-effective.

Liu Zhiyong believes that this kind of high-power LED technology route generated along the inertia thinking is obviously the directional error of the main technology attack. However, the repeated speculations of the real business groups and interest groups have made it only the only way to solve this technical route.

In Liu Zhiyong's view, the enthusiasm of China's LED industry has been kidnapped as a test mouse for the commercial interests of large foreign companies. The setbacks of real experience in a few years are worthy of calming down and rethinking.
