SAP15N / SAP15P is a high-power composite counter tube developed by Sanken Co., Ltd. of Japan. The tube (see the figure below) uses the newly invented TRAITR (High Speed Thermal Reaction Semiconductor), which is equipped with a temperature compensation circuit that can stabilize the power transistor In the tube, the driver tube, the final power tube, the emitter resistance of the final tube, and the bias current temperature compensation diode are encapsulated in the tube. In the past, the method of stabilizing the high-power tube was to connect the compensation tube next to the power tube. In this way, the compensation tube requires a certain time in terms of temperature balance and speed. It must wait for the temperature to stabilize before it can even amplify the music signal. It may even be possible. Overcompensation is caused, that is, the higher the temperature, the smaller the bias current, which will produce zero-crossing distortion for Class A and Class B amplification. The SAP15N / SAP15P composite management avoids this drawback. The line performance index of the pair is better, the performance is more stable, the distortion is small when the volume is small, and the penetration of the sound is increased, the sound quality is good, and the positioning is accurate. The main parameters of the pair of tubes are I = 15A and Pc = 150W. One pair per channel, equivalent to four triodes per channel, can provide a powerful power output.
The following figure is the combination of Class A amplifier circuit of the Prince of Sound Music Prince using SAP15N / SAP15P (only one pair of SAP15N / SAP15P is shown in the figure, the actual circuit is two pairs of parallel work, of course, including 51 and 750 Europe Resistance), the main index is, output power: 80W × 2 (RMS, 8Ω); frequency response: 20Hz ~ 20kHz (-0.5dB); harmonic distortion: <0.08% (1kHz); signal to noise ratio:> 100dB ( A).
