The panel maker Huaying announced that it has sold its module factory in Shenzhen to Huaxing Optoelectronics, a panel manufacturer of TCL Group. The total transaction amount is 446 million yuan (about 2.1 billion yuan in new Taipei), and the revenue is about 4700. Ten thousand yuan (about NT$220 million), the relevant equity transfer is expected to be completed in the second quarter.
Huaying's back-end module factory established in Shenzhen is mainly the layout of Huaying in response to the TV panel shipment and the completion of the TV panel one-stop strategy in 2005, but since Huaying has turned to small and medium size and touch panel field since 2011. The module factory of Huaying in Shenzhen has also undergone transformation, and it has changed to operate in a single-generation OEM operation.
Huaying announced that it will transfer its shareholding in Shenzhen Huaying Display Technology Co., Ltd. to Huaxing Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. on behalf of its subsidiary Huaying Technology Group Co., Ltd., CPT Bermuda, and Malaysian CPT. The company, and 25% to Huaxing Optoelectronics International.
Huaying pointed out that Huaxing Optoelectronics is one of the most important cooperative customers of Huaying Shenzhen Module Factory. Huaying has concentrated on developing small and medium-sized panel business and made asset utilization more efficient. Therefore, it decided to sell the shares to Huaxing Optoelectronics for both parties. Create a win-win situation.
