Peng Wanhua said that to allow ordinary people to accept LED lights, we must first improve the reliability and stability of their products, and lamp life is the main characterization of its reliability, "But now the domestic LED light bulbs, life can only be achieved 15,000-2.5 million hours."

What is the concept of a lifetime of 15,000 to 25,000 hours? Assuming 8 hours of light is turned on per day, the service life of an LED bulb is about 5-8.5 years. Peng Wanhua believes that compared with the life of LED chips and components, there is still much room for improvement in the life of LED lamps.

Peng Wanhua also said that the current domestic LED lamp energy efficiency is only 20% -30%, this will not work, must find a way to increase the total energy efficiency to more than 50%, so as to further give play to the advantages of LED lights in energy saving and environmental protection.

At the meeting, Peng Wanhua also mentioned the US SSL plan, which set the cost of LED components to reach US$2 per 1,000 lumens by 2015 and US$1 per 1,000 lumens by 2020. Industry introduction, LED lights from the chip, LED components, radiators and lampshades and other parts, of which the cost of components and components accounted for about 1/3 of the cost of lamps. Peng Wanhua believes that this plan of the United States is also a cost target currently recognized by the industry.
