Cross-strait establishment of LED industry procurement mechanism

A few days ago, the cross-strait ECS industry cooperation working group meeting was held in Taipei. The two sides reviewed the progress of five industrial cooperation projects (including electric vehicles, LED, panels, low-temperature logistics, and wireless cities). The LED industry cooperation was the most groundbreaking and both parties agreed. The procurement mechanism was established to expand pilot projects in Shanxi Province and Harbin City. LED indoor light bulbs were included for the first time, and the number of mainland purchasers was at least 10,000. It is expected that Taiwanese manufacturers such as Lightbao, Everlight, and Delta Electronics could expect to benefit further.

Due to the fact that mainland China's local governments handled procurement, they had different opinions on the specifications and standards of product procurement, and there were technical obstacles, so they delayed their operations. Therefore, Taiwanese manufacturers proposed to establish a procurement mechanism. This time, there is consensus that both parties must plan the procurement standard operation process. (SOP), but whether or not to adopt a restriction target, that is, joint bidding by manufacturers across the Taiwan Strait, to be confirmed after the exchange of opinions with the industry.

According to officials from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, in the LED industry cooperation, the first pilot is to settle in Xiamen and Guangzhou, Xiamen is to replace 1,000 LED street lights, and Guangzhou is to install 50,000 LED indoor lighting fixtures, which will be completed one after another.

The trial was extended to Shanxi Province and Harbin City in Heilongjiang Province. LED lights are still the main source in Harbin.
