Dr. Chen Jinjian pointed out that LED as a new generation of safe, reliable, energy-saving and environmentally friendly green light source has many advantages such as low power consumption, high luminous efficiency, good stability and long life. It is a hot product in current lighting products, but LED is especially The research and development of high-power LEDs is also facing a relatively important issue, namely how to better solve the problem of high-power LED heat dissipation. In the LED, 80% of the energy is converted into heat. If its heat is not well emitted, the relative initial temperature of the LED will decrease linearly, which will affect the reliability and service life of the LED. Therefore, the heat dissipation problem is a technical bottleneck in the development of semiconductor lighting. How to solve this heat dissipation problem becomes a key to the development of high-power LED. At present, there are three main methods of heat dissipation:

First, the simple fin method. The simple fin method is a method that is often used at present, and its disadvantage is that the efficiency is relatively low, and the energy of heat dissipation is limited.

Second, the traditional active cooling method. Mainly using a fan for forced convection, its heat dissipation effect will be better, but its shortcoming is that it will require an additional power consumption, to increase its energy consumption, the reliability and stability of the system will drop, and it Its performance will also mutate due to the harsh environment. This kind of scheme has been adopted less.

Third, the traditional heat pipe technology. The main use of heat pipes, its heat dissipation is better, but it will lead to increased costs. Therefore, it is not used much at present.

By improving the structural material of the LED, the problem of heat dissipation of the LED can be better solved. With system integration, the heat dissipation design in terms of luminaires and design can increase the heat release. Firstly, according to the requirements of heat dissipation, the surface body of the heat dissipation of the lamp required for different powers of the lamp is calculated, and a heat dissipation result is obtained, and then the structural design of the lamp, including the height and width of the magnet piece, the size of the lamp, etc. Also have to do a special design.

As power continues to increase, the need for heat dissipation from lamps will continue to increase. The new heat pipe technology is a future development trend. As an extension of the traditional heat pipe technology, the new heat pipe technology also relies on liquid phase change to achieve heat transfer. The heat transfer capacity is 20-30% higher than that of the sintered heat pipe. It has high heat transfer efficiency, simple structure, low cost, good adaptability and heat transfer. The long distance of transportation is the most effective solution to solve the heat dissipation problem of high-power LED lights.
