Since 1997, Dalian Luming Technology Group has successively invented a series of new silicate matrix luminescent materials activated by rare earths. This material is another major new white phosphor patent after the Japanese Nichia YAG powder and the German Osram TAG powder patent monopoly. Its original results have been patented by China, the United States, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, South Korea and other countries. .

The major technology invention project of the Ministry of Information Industry of 2006 is a GaN-based high-performance LED chip and industrialization. The main content is based on sapphire as a substrate, the epitaxial layer is formed by metal organic chemical vapor deposition method, and then chip fabrication is completed through a series of chip processing techniques. The project has applied for 11 invention patents, including 7 US invention patents and 4 Chinese invention patents. Luming has designed and built an industrialized production line with an annual capacity of 300,000 high-quality epitaxial wafers and 3 billion high-reliability chip capabilities. Such LED chips play an increasingly important role in traffic lights and indoor and outdoor full color displays, urban landscape lighting, LCD backlights, automotive lights, special lighting and future general lighting.
