New means of landscape lighting, floodlighting (Figure)

On November 10th, 2006, the British Lai Ting Di Sai Lighting Design Co., Ltd. held a celebration reception to celebrate the night lighting project of Beijing CapitaLand Building. CapitaLand (China) Building, located in the southwest corner of Guomao Bridge, East Chang'an Street, Beijing. The building has a total of 37 floors and the total height of the building is 140 meters. The exterior facade of the building is dominated by stone and glass curtain walls. The owner of the building is Singapore Guardian Land Group. CapitaLand (China) is a wholly-owned subsidiary in China. The buildings around the CapitaLand (China) Building are brighter at night, and the LDPi design team has adopted a simple and effective floodlighting method with a special light color after discussing several options. To highlight the building.

In the design of the exterior wall façade lighting, in order to reflect the modern and straightforward architectural style, the designer uses a narrow angle (3 degree angle) 2000W, 4000K floodlights to express the overall feeling of the building. Although the luminaires are mounted on the same support frame, due to their different projection angles, they complement each other with light and uniform brightness. The use of narrow-angle luminaires allows all of the light to be accurately projected onto the façade without scattering and wasting in the air. After establishing the overall tone, the designer began looking for an element that would reflect the characteristics of the owner's business. Golden in traditional Chinese culture symbolizes wealth and status. In view of the rapid development of CapitaLand's real estate industry in China and around the world in recent years, lighting designers hope that its Beijing building will represent the company's thriving and vibrant character. In the formation of the design concept, the design team finally decided to choose the middle U-shaped groove and the east-west symmetrical facade to be washed with golden light, in order to bring a modern and vibrant feeling to the building. In the selection of lamps and light sources, the floodlights that are consistent with the overall lighting method are used, just in the outer ring of the lamp, and a gold color filter is also ordered to create a golden light effect.

Since the appropriate luminaire installation location could not be found on the building façade, the designer used a custom light fixture to secure the luminaire. In the process of designing the lamp holder, special attention was paid to the scale, appearance and shape of the lamp holder. It has even been designed with screw openings for flexible position adjustment when the luminaire is installed in the field. In terms of materials and color details, we strive to achieve harmony with the surrounding environment. Not only does it functionally control the angle of light projection, it also does not destroy the integrity of the daytime landscape. Two light projectors are installed on each light stand. For the U-shaped groove part of the building facing the front of Chang'an Street, the light distribution of the illuminating surface is relatively uniform. The white floodlight and the golden floodlight combine the illumination of the upper and lower illumination to evenly illuminate the exterior facade of the entire building. The building has two symmetrical half-moon exits on the 28th and 31st floors. To this end, the designer installed several 400W floodlights on the 28th and 31st floors to highlight the architectural layering. For the lighting around the LOGO, the shadow is designed, making the blue corporate logo appear clean and clear under the distant night sky. The reception invited Mr. Chen Yansheng, Chairman of China Lighting Association, and the leaders of the night lighting team of CapitaLand Building. In his enthusiastic speech, Chen Yan's physicist affirmed the achievements of LDPi in the Chinese market in the past four years and placed greater hope on LDPi; Mr. Mao Daqing, General Manager of CapitaLand (China) Investment Co., Ltd. affirmed the design results of LDPi in his speech. And praised the professionalism of the team in the project cooperation with CapitaLand. At the same time, another new project, which was invested by CapitaLand, was announced. The overall lighting of Raffles City (Beijing) will be re-designed by LDPi as the lighting designer, responsible for the indoor and outdoor lighting design of all the projects. Tsinghua University School of Architecture's Lighting Design Seminar and Central Academy of Fine Arts Graduate School of Lighting Design students attended the event and observed the night scene lighting of CapitaLand. The parties represented nearly a hundred people at the reception.
